How to Partition Windows 7

Windows 7 and Vista now include a disk management tool to shrink and expand partitions.

To get to this tool, open up the control panel, and type in partition into the search box…you’ll immediately see the graphic below.

From here, right click on the partition you want to expand or shrink and make your selection.

The problem with this utility is it may not shrink your partion as small as you like. From what I have seen Windows will only allow you to shrink your C:/ partition by about 50%.

If you need more flexibilty in your exapnding or shrking of Windows 7 partitions you can use this free application.
