How Much is a Million Dollars?

If I Had a Million Dollars

I would probably retire. I would definitely be racking up a million frequent flyer miles. Have you ever thought about what a million dollars looks like? You would have to make $83,333 a month to end up with a cool million dollars on your W2. You would also be loosing $337,031 to Uncle Sam, if you live in the US. So your net take home would be $662,969.

Tiger Woods made a cool $80.3 million on 2004. That translates to roughly $6,941,666 a monthly. Not bad Mr. Woods.

How Much is a Million Dollars?

Let’s count a million dollars. We’ll say 1 million numbers: 2 million seconds, and 60 minutes in an hour, and 24 hours in a day (I guess we don’t have time to sleep!) 60 times 60 times 24 = 86,400 numbers per day. Now, to find the time, in days, to say 1 million numbers we’d have to do some more arithmetic. First, there are 60 seconds in a minute, so we divide 2,000,000 seconds by 60; then, since there are 60 minutes in an hour, we divide the number of minutes by 60; then since there are 24 hours in a day we divide by 24 and get approximately 23 days.

That means we would have to count day and night, without breakfast lunch or dinner, without sleep or television for 23 days!

How much does 1 million Dollars Weigh?

Each note no matter what the denomination weighs one gram. There are 454 grams in a US pound. So one pound would consist of 454 notes. A million dollars in ones; take 1,000,000 dollar notes divided by 454. You would come out with approximately 2202.6 pound for one million dollars.
