Sample Resignation Email Templates
When sending your resignation email it is often best not to speak your mind. Of course, there is an exception to every rule.
If you can better the work environment for your coworkers, it may be wise to ask your supervisor or his supervisor for some time to explain your observations. If you are going to criticize make sure you offer suggestions on how to create a better work environment.
Make sure your resignation email gives proper notice. It is simple courtesy to give your employer a reasonable amount of time, to fill your position. If your job is complicated, your employer may need time for you to train your replacement. Try and give notice of no less than two weeks when sending your resignation letter. Always be honest it is the best policy.
To resign like a professional use the “sandwich technique.” This resignation email technique softens the blow of the bad news of your departure with positive statements on either side. Always begin your resignation letter with a positive paragraph. Place your resignation in the middle of the letter. Close your letter with another couple of positive statements.
